I said Stephen King started it all, and consciously he did.   But I was a fan of the Blues before I ever knew there was such a thing as a fan.   My mother loved the Blues, from the little 'hole in the wall' streetside clubs she used to frequent in Cincinnati to her record player in a little town in Kansas, where they hadn't even heard of the Blues.   BB King Wails contains the very first music that I remember hearing.   I wasn't quite four years old.   I love the Blues today.   If I could only listen to one genre of music that would be my choice.   Oh yes, I am a child of the 60's, I love rock in all of it's permutations.   In fact I like just about every kind of music aside from Opera.   But in my heart it will always be the Blues.   Thank you BB King, from alpha to omega.

And to EC.. everything you've done I've listened to and loved, even the country ;) and your south island stuff opened my eyes to a new form of music before those I ran with understood it was cool.   You are though, at the bottom of it,  the perfect incarnation of two forms of music that have everything to do with each other.   I loved your rock but.. it's the Blues ya know, that you do so well.   For everything else, where you've been and how far you've come, you are a successful survivor Sir, one of the few.   The Dog Lady salutes you!
